Summer Scholarships

RMC Summer Levels Course Scholarship

  • $650.00 scholarship is paid directly to each summer scholarship winner

  • Scholarship can be used for any AOSA-approved Orff Schulwerk Teacher Education Levels Course in the U.S.

  • Scholarship is renewable

Qualifications for Summer Levels Scholarship

  • Must be an active member of the local Rocky Mountain Chapter and attended at least 3 workshops during the 2023-24 school year.

  • Must be a member of the national American Orff-Schulwerk Association with an expiration date after April 30, 2025

  • Obliged to pay it forward to Rocky Mountain Chapter in the year after a scholarship has been awarded by choosing committee work, board participation, written reflection, OR presenting at a May workshop

Barbara Grenoble Memorial Scholarship

The Barbara Grenoble Memorial Scholarship, established in March 2023, is named in honor of Barbara Grenoble (1933-2022). 

  • The scholarship will be an ongoing award given each year in the amount not to exceed $1000.00.

  • The scholarship will be given to one chapter member in good standing with the Rocky Mountain Chapter and AOSA, who has demonstrated positive leadership skills at the local and national levels. The scholarship will be given to that same chapter member who also demonstrates dedication to teaching all children with ingenuity, vitality, and respect.

  • The scholarship will be awarded for teacher training for Level III and/or Post-Level III, in-depth further study of Orff Schulwerk at an AOSA-approved course, or Orff Schulwerk master classes as approved by the Scholarship Committee, and can be used for tuition and materials for those classes. In the event the class is out of state, funds may also be applied to transportation, not to exceed the $1000.00 cap
