Music is a Verb – A Seasonal Sampler
Music (v): to sing, to play instruments, to perform, to listen, to describe or analyze, to respond in movement and dance, to compose, to improvise, to learn, to enjoy. …from Barbara Eberhart
Using songs and materials special to Fall and Winter, the focus of this workshop will be teaching musical elements and concepts through active participation. Using the Orff media of speaking, singing, moving, playing and creating, we’ll explore ways to develop and connect seed ideas into larger musical units – with possibilities of integration into other areas of the curriculum. Materials will be appropriate for grades 1-5. Please bring a soprano recorder and wear comfortable clothing.
